Registration

A family seeking to register their student at Willapa Valley can complete the registration paperwork located at the Registration page.  If the family lives OUTSIDE the district, please read the information below on Choice students.  For any questions, please contact the appropriate school(s).   

  • Student Transfers

    A student's school and resident school district is based on where the student resides. In some circumstances, a family may ask to transfer their student to a school outside of their resident district. 

    Online Choice Transfer Request Portal

    The Choice Transfer Request Portal (CTRP) is used by parents, guardians, and students 18 and over to request a transfer from one Washington public school to another electronically. A Choice Transfer request is made when a student wants to attend a school outside of the school district where the student lives.

    Steps to request a choice transfer:

    Step 1: Submit a request electronically via the parent portal or send a completed Choice Transfer Request form to the resident school district. Please refer to the Choice Transfer Request Portal (CTRP) User Guide for instructions on how to use the portal. 

    Please note: Not all Washington school districts have opted into the request portal. If you do not see the resident school district listed, please use the Choice Transfer Request form to initiate the request.

    Step 2: After the resident school district approves the transfer, it is sent to the non-resident school district for approval. Note: The transfer request is not complete until the non-resident district approves the transfer request.

    Step 3: Complete the Willapa Valley new student application forms and submit to the high school office.  

  • Families intending to provide home-based instruction must complete the Declaration of Intent annually by September 15th or within two weeks of the beginning of the public school quarter or trimester and submit it to the superintendent.  For more information regardign home-based instruction, visit OSPI’s webpage.

  • To request part-time attendance or ancillary services, please complete the form form listed below and submit to the Willapa Valley School District.
